ENMORE Park’s David Dixon joined forces with outgoing Gloucester and Somerset PGA Captain Roy Baker to win the Howards Motor group-sponsored Pairs Championship at Burnham and Berrow yesterday.
With event falling foul of the pandemic restrictions in 2020, the duo teamed up to defend the title they won two years previously.

Five time winner Ed Goodwin from Cirencester will have to wait a little longer for title number six though as he and his partner Giuseppe Licata (Filton) were one of those pairs to return a 68 along with Woodspring’s Kevin Pitts and Ashley Mansell of Clevedon.
Only one other duo broke the testing par of 70 – the Taunton & Pickeridge duo of James Keitch and his boss and G&S PGA debutant Jason Avery who returned a 69.
The event continues to be sponsored by Howards Motor Group and the professionals are already looking forward to the 20th staging of the event at the same venue in 12 months time.
They now will enjoy a Christmas break before reconvening at Minchinhampton Old Course in early January to restart the Total Triumph Order of Merit Medals
