100 Years of Bridgwater and Albion Re-Launch of Club House Facilities

A Cheese and Wine Tasting Evening took place on Saturday 11th May to celebrate the centenary of Bridgwater Rugby Football Club merging with Bridgwater Albion Rugby Football Club to form the club that we know and love today as Bridgwater and Albion Rugby Football Club. The merger happened immediately after the First World War due to both teams finding their ranks decimated by the war. In March/April 1919 the new club played two matches to literally get the ball rolling again. The amalgamation was officially confirmed when the newly formed club competed in the 1919-20 season as Bridgwater and Albion Rugby Football Club. The Bridgwater and Albion RFC Executive Committee
