SOMERSET saw more than 400 positive tests for Covid-19 in the 24 hours to 5pm yesterday – one of the highest totals since the virus first hit.
The Government data showed 81 cases in Sedgemoor, bringing the total to since the start of the pandemic to 2,773.
The worst-hit district in the county was Somerset West and Taunton with 139 new cases, taking the total there to 2,931.
