SEDGEMOOR council’s customer service teams have been assessed against the national accreditation standards and passed with flying colours.
The recognition comes hot on the heels of the positive reaction by customers to the new reception at Bridgwater House.
The team was assessed over five areas:
- Culture of the Organisation
- Customer Insight
- Information and Access Delivery
- Quality of Service
A council spokesperson said: “The external assessors were impressed by the level of corporate commitment to customer service throughout the organisation, not only just in customer service but across all departments.
“Our digital team apprentices produced a video to showcase some of our work and the assessors were so impressed that they have asked if they could show it at their next national forum.”
Cllr Duncan McGinty, Leader of Sedgemoor District Council said “It is testament to all staff and members that we have achieved this accreditation while dealing with the Covid pandemic, delivering our high-quality service all with the vast majority of staff still working from home.
“It just goes to show that staff are committed to giving brilliant service to our customers and residents.
“We know we’ve still got work to do to continue to improve but this is time to a moment to reflect on the fact that this is a fantastic achievement for Sedgemoor and our residents.”
