Join Bridgwater’s ‘Town Assembly’ via Zoom on Wednesday

BRIDGWATER Town Council are holding the annual Town Assembly on Wednesday (April 28).

A council spokesperson said: “This meeting is not a council meeting, but a meeting for the electorate of the Parish of Bridgwater.

“It gives residents the opportunity to ask questions about Bridgwater and discuss community issues. It gives you the opportunity to ask questions about the work of the town council, including about our Blake Museum, Town Hall Theatre, cemeteries and much more.

“It’s also a chance to hear more about the work of the town council and what has been done over the last year and plans for the next 12 months.

“All parish and town councils are required to hold annual town assembly meetings between March 1 and June 1 each year. However, in 2020 the Government removed the requirement to hold an annual meeting due to the coronavirus pandemic.”
