TWO people were rescued by Burnham-on-Sea RNLI volunteers yesterday after their jetski was disabled and drifting at the north end of Stert Island.
The inshore lifeboat was launched at 4.20pm on the hottest day of the year and were soon on the scene.
The male jetski rider and his female passenger were transported back to Burnham beach and the jetski was also towed to dry land.
D Class helm Tim Walters said: “Apparently, they ran aground and the engine stalled.
“Being unable to restart it, they risked being carried out to sea. They were very pleased to see us.”
