Fire service suspect arson after caravan destroyed by fire in Bridgwater

A FIRE which gutted a caravan in Bridgwater last night may have been started deliberately according to the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.

Two fire engines from Bridgwater attended the incident where they found a garage, caravan outbuilding and a single storey building were on fire.

Crews called for extra help and another engine from Nether Stowey was sent to the scene.

The caravan caravan was completely destroyed,  the outbuilding and garage ‘80%’ destroyed while the bungalow sustained damage to an external.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: “Police have been requested as there is a possibility this was a deliberate fire.”
