RESIDENTS in the West Quay area of Bridgwater no longer have to worry about the possibility of litter and late night noise in the street after an application to open a chicken takeaway in the street was withdrawn.
Mudassar Raja wanted to open the takeaway on the site of the former Gentleman’s Room hairdressers.
After Sedgemoor council’s development committee voted against the plan by 6 votes to 5 with two abstentions, Mr Raja decided to appeal against the decision.
However both the application and appeal have now been withdrawn.
