WORK is expected to start later in the year on a £307,000 refurbishment for Bridgwater Fire Station on Salmon Parade.
Dan Farthing, the estates property manager for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said the improvements would include self-contained rest rooms.
He said: “The works will enhance workplace dignity and provide an inclusive, safe, clean and healthy environment for all our staff.
“These improvements will begin in later in the year and are due to complete in the spring of 2022. The work has been carefully phased to maintain continuity of service.”
The proposals will come before the fire authority for final approval at the budget-setting meeting on February 19.
