THREE charities will be better off after 61 players and supporters of Bridgwater Town and Yeovil United football clubs raised £10,000 with a ‘Marathon’ fundraising effort on Saturday.
Bridgwater’s new chief executive, Adam Murry, and chairman, Bob Buckingham, were among those running or walking 26.2 miles in the area they live.
The three local charities to benefit are Bridgwater Food Bank, the Gift of Giving Shoebox Appeal and Brainwave South West.
