A FAMILY whose campervan was stranded at Brean Cove on Sunday was rescued by Burnham’s BARB search and rescue team.
Brean’s beach warden raised the alarm at 4.40pm after the van became stuck in wet sand and mud near the top of the beach following a high tide.
The team used a combination of spades, waffle boards and safety equipment to quickly free the vehicle.
The grateful family thanked the team and made a generous donation towards BARB.
