MORE bad weather is predicted as the Met Office issues a yellow weather warning for snow and ice across Somerset today (28th), Wednesday (30th) and Thursday (31st).

A wet morning with showers, possibly thundery, moving east across the region and falling as sleet or snow in places. Further showers likely for the afternoon, heaviest over Cornwall. Feeling cold, with a risk of some coastal gales in Cornwall. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Showers, heavy and wintry at times, continue through the evening and overnight, most persistent over western parts. Drier and colder in the east where some frost and ice is possible. Minimum temperature -1 °C.
A frosty start for eastern areas where it will remain largely dry. Cornwall and Devon are likely to see showers, these turning locally wintry overnight. Windy in the far west. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Wednesday and Thursday will see further showers, heavy and wintry at times. Drier for New Years’ Day. Feeling cold, with further overnight patches of frost and ice.
