THE latest Government figures show seven people lost their lives to Covid-19 in Somerset West and Taunton in the latest 24 hour period – taking the total in the district to 21 in just three days.
One small glimmer of light was that no deaths from the virus in Sedgemoor were recorded in the daily figures.
However there were three more in Mendip and one in South Somerset.
At least 100 Covid-19 deaths have now been recorded in each of the four Somerset districts since the start of the pandemic as the total reaches 427.
Of those, 117 have been in South Somerset, 107 in Mendip, 103 in Somerset West and Taunton and 100 in Sedgemoor.
