THERE have been another 404 positive Covid tests in Sedgemoor in the last seven days – but is no longer the hot-spot it was during the summer, according to official figures.
At one point in August the district had the highest Covid-19 infection rate in England.
And there are even fewer cases being reported in Sedgemoor than in other Somerset districts. By comparison there were 533 positive tests in South Somerset, 497 in Somerset West and Taunton and 437 in Mendip.
However the infection rate – at 327 per 100,000 people – is not far behind the national average of 354.
