PEOPLE throughout the UK have joined in a national clap for Capt Sir Tom Moore.
The 100-year-old Army veteran, who raised almost £33m for NHS charities by walking laps of his garden, died with coronavirus in Bedford Hospital on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his partner Carrie Symonds stood outside 10 Downing Street to salute Capt Tom.
Meanwhile Capt Tom’s daughter, Hannah Ingram-Moore and her family also joined the applause, standing outside the gate to his home in the village of Marston Moretaine in Bedfordshire.
