King Alfred student tests positive for Covid

YEAR 11 students at the King Alfred School in Highbridge have been asked to stay at home for 14 days following a confirmed case of coronavirus at the school.

Principal Nathan Jenkins wrote to parents with the news yesterday (Monday).

He said: “For all other year groups, the school remains open and your child should continue to attend as normal if they remain well.

“If you are the parent or carer of a child in Year 11 and they have siblings that attend TKASA in other year groups, then the siblings can attend school as normal unless they were to develop any symptoms themselves.”

Year 11 pupils at Kings of Wessex in Cheddar are also currently self-isolating.
