It was a wonderful birthday as Wesley Adams reaches the fantastic age of 100 and received his card from the Queen. Wesley has now equalled his sister who reached her centenary in 2017.
Not many of us get to celebrate this great occasion, but it’s a time to celebrate even though Wesley was smiling in a low key way and sharing his special day with his immediate family. Wesley is still living on the farm he and his family came to in Bridgwater in 1942 where he spent all his working life managing this working Dairy Farm, eventually relinquishing control to his son during the late 70’s early 80’s.
Since retiring Wesley was at home mostly in his farm workshop making useful things – like the Farm Gates and was still working in the workshop well into his 80. With his welding skills, as well as making the farm gates, he made a lot of ornamental ironwork for friends and family, such as garden ages, pergolas, house signs, curtain poles – he liked a challenge
