HIPPYCHICK, a multi-million pound turnover nursery goods business based in Bridgwater has won the hotly-contested Progressive Preschool ‘Best Distributor Award’.
The company is increasingly well known by consumers but behind the scenes Hippychick distributes many of its products to independent nursery retailers across the country.
The Progressive Preschool Awards are voted for by the nursery retailers themselves.
Julia and Jeremy Minchin, joint managing directors of Hippychick, who attended the virtual awards ceremony, said: “It’s been a challenging year for us, as well as for our competitors, on every level.
“It’s really reassuring to know that we’re still doing a good job for our customers, despite all the issues we have had to face in this unprecedented year, including working with a skeleton staff of just four during the first lockdown and issues with stock coming into the country.
“Our staff have been amazing throughout this year and the award is a true testament to their absolute dedication and unceasing commitment to the business. We feel very privileged to have such an outstanding team.”
