Keith Sinclair recently joined Brainwave as the charity’s new Chief Executive.
It has been a busy and enjoyable few weeks since joining Brainwave as Chief Executive in January.
In the short time I have been here I have been struck by the passion, professionalism and commitment of our team and the fantastic outcomes they are achieving.
For example, spending time with our therapists, hearing and observing first-hand how much they love their jobs and the difference they make to children’s lives, has been truly inspirational. The families I have met too, have also told me how much they value what we do here at Brainwave.
In terms of my own background, I have over 20 years leadership experience, working across a diverse range of charities including Citizens Advice, Age UK and Carers Support.
There are many opportunities for Brainwave, and I have begun, and will continue to, listen to the team, families, funders and partners, to gain a better understanding of our services, strengths and areas for further development. This will help to inform our planning, to ensure that Brainwave remains both, ‘fit for today and tomorrow’ and continues to achieve amazing outcomes for children, long into the future.
I would like to thank all our families, supporters, volunteers and staff for making Brainwave such an amazing place and for welcoming me so warmly to the team.
I am delighted to be leading Brainwave and excited by the prospect of working with the team, to ensure that we continue to help more children ‘unlock their potential’.
