Legal firm Gateley legal, based in Leicester, has chosen bibic as its charity for the next 18 months promising lots of fundraising amongst its strong team.
Why Gateley chose bibic as their Charity of the year 2020 – 21
Trainee Solicitor Katie Shaw explains how they decided on bibic.
“A partner in the Leicester office, Satpaul Dard, has a very close personal connection to bibic. Satpaul and his family have supported bibic over the years after his niece suffered a brain injury at birth. Satpaul nominated bibc and was overwhelmingly voted for by the rest of the office”.
Katie is not put off by corona virus restrictions and recognises opportunities to fundraise digitally.
“We are now beginning to organise fundraising events that we can do virtually over the next few months. There will be a virtual bingo evening, an office relay (where everyone completes 5 km in any way they wish and the most creative 5 km wins a prize) and an arts and crafts competition with the theme of unity again with a prize being awarded to the office’s favourite masterpiece!”
General Fundraising and Marketing Officer for bibic, Andy Hirst, is thrilled to be working with Gateley, “It was great to receive the call from Katie and we are both excited to be working together, not just because their office is in my home town of Leicester.
