Glastonbury Festival applies for concert licence

A MUSICAL gathering could still be on the cards at ‘Glastonbury’ this year.

The Glastonbury Festival has filed an application¬†for a ‘concert’ at Worthy Farm, Pilton, in September.

After a planned festival in June was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, organisers are hoping that some kind of event could still happen.

Writing on Instagram, organiser Emily Eavis said: “For those asking for an update on our plans later this year, we have put in an application for a licence for a concert at the farm in September (around the time we’d usually do Pilton Party).

“Of course, we’ve got no idea whether we will be able to do that, but we wanted to get the application in to be in with a chance.

“Unlikely we’ll have any news for a couple of months – but will let you know right here when we do.”
