Members of the Chandos Society of Artists have been waiting since November 2019 to host a public exhibition, so it is with great pride and relief that their art goes on display at Bridgwater Arts Centre, Castle Street, from Tuesday 1st June until Friday 25th.
‘Our members are really excited to be out in public again,’ said Chairman, Ken Church, ‘We really wanted this to be a special year as it is the Society’s 60th anniversary but we have had to wait until June to start our celebrations’.
Come and feast your eyes on over 50 pieces of art including works in watercolour, print making, textiles and photography. It is also an opportunity to buy new art and brighten your home whilst at the same time supporting the Art Centre with every purchase.
The Chandos Society of Artists was founded in 1961 and is based in the town of Bridgwater in Somerset. Membership consists of professional and amateur artists covering all the visual arts.
Jean Rees RWA, founder member of the Chandos Society of Artists was also the co-founder of Bridgwater Arts Centre in 1946.
